Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Christies held the auction An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection, which included the work Sunny Hours In Jamaica by Henry Scott Tuke. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,180.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Scott Tuke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midsummer Morning in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 270,650.00 (€ 395,140.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunny Hours In Jamaica von Henry Scott Tuke zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.180,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Scott Tuke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Midsummer Morning im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 270.650,00 (€ 395.140,46).
