This artwork by Henry Scott Tuke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in September 2021. In the An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection auction, the work Bathing Group (Noonday Heat) sold for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 159,983.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Scott Tuke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Midsummer Morning, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 270,650.00 (€ 395,140.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Scott Tuke erzielte im September 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection wurde die Arbeit Bathing Group (Noonday Heat) für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 159.983,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Scott Tuke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Midsummer Morning beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 270.650,00 (€ 395.140,46) versteigert wurde.
