Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry John Stock could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Art on Paper auction, the work The Beast Cast Into The Lake of Fire changed hands for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,156.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Stock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,311.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry John Stock konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British Art on Paper wechselte die Arbeit The Beast Cast Into The Lake of Fire für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.156,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry John Stock erzielen.
