This artwork by Henry John Stock achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2016. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work The Hidden Pool sold for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,312.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Stock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,311.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry John Stock erzielte im März 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit The Hidden Pool für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.312,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry John Stock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 79.311,79).
