Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Sign of Peace by Henry F. Farny. The price achieved of USD 662,500.00 (€ 475,968.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry F. Farny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Pastures New, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,024,858.11).

Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sign of Peace von Henry F. Farny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 662.500,00 (€ 475.968,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry F.
