Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Victoria Tower from Parliament Square by Henry Charles Brewer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 912.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Charles Brewer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,705.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Victoria Tower from Parliament Square von Henry Charles Brewer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 912,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Charles Brewer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.705,58).
