This artwork by Henry Charles Brewer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2006. In the British and Continental Watercolours auction, the work St. Paul'S From Bankside, Barges In The Foreground sold for GBP 720.00 (€ 1,054.00) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Charles Brewer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,705.58).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Charles Brewer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.705,58).
