Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian and British Impressionist Art, which included the work St Paul's Cathedral observed from between Bread St and Victoria St during the Second World War by Henry Charles Brewer. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,672.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Charles Brewer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge, which sold at auction in September 2012 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,705.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit St Paul's Cathedral observed from between Bread St and Victoria St during the Second World War von Henry Charles Brewer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.672,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Charles Brewer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge beobachtet, die im September 2012 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.705,58) versteigert wurde.
