Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The market square, Wells by Henry Charles Brewer was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 836.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Charles Brewer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge in September 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,705.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The market square, Wells von Henry Charles Brewer wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 836,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Charles Brewer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of the Thames taken from the top of Tower Bridge im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.705,58).
