Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Irises by Henrietta Shore was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 57,782.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henrietta Shore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unity in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 350,000.00 (€ 310,091.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Irises von Henrietta Shore wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 57.782,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henrietta Shore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unity im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 350.000,00 (€ 310.091,26).
