Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clivia by Henrietta Shore was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,806.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henrietta Shore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unity, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 350,000.00 (€ 310,091.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Clivia von Henrietta Shore kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.806,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henrietta Shore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unity beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 350.000,00 (€ 310.091,26) versteigert wurde.
