In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Important British Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of Louise Renée De Penancoët De Kéroualle, Duchess Of Portsmouth And Aubigny by Henri Gascars. It changed hands for a price of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 59,219.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Gascars - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Jacques De Goyon Iii (1644-1725), Sire De Matignon, Comte De Thorigny, Lieutenant Général Des Armées , which sold at auction in January 2017 for USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,966.09).
