Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work Portrait of Hortense Mancini, Duchess of Mazarin (1640-1699), three-quarter-length, seated, in a white blouse and pink wrap, with a landscape beyond by Henri Gascars. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,975.00 (€ 8,944.03), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Gascars achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Jacques De Goyon Iii (1644-1725), Sire De Matignon, Comte De Thorigny, Lieutenant Général Des Armées in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,966.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Hortense Mancini, Duchess of Mazarin (1640-1699), three-quarter-length, seated, in a white blouse and pink wrap, with a landscape beyond von Henri Gascars zur Versteigerung kam.
