This price was achieved in the auction Art moderne at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Edmond Cross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,150,000.00 (€ 2,583,237.66).
