Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Paris held the auction Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Moderne Arabe et Iranien, which included the work Porte de mosquée andalouse by Henri Regnault. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Regnault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Intérieur de Harem in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 72,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Orientalistes et Art Moderne Arabe et Iranien durch, in der auch die Arbeit Porte de mosquée andalouse von Henri Regnault zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Regnault erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Intérieur de Harem im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.000,00.
