Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work A still life with grapes and a roemer by Henk Helmantel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 900,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 28,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henk Helmantel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Still Life With Fruits And Flowers, which sold at auction in December 2015 for EUR 73,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with grapes and a roemer von Henk Helmantel zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 28.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henk Helmantel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Still Life With Fruits And Flowers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für EUR 73.500,00 versteigert wurde.
