Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Cattle on the edge of a forest in an extensive sunlit landscape by Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen for EUR 24,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sorting the catch on the beach of Scheveningen in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 169,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cattle on the edge of a forest in an extensive sunlit landscape von Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen für EUR 24.000,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sorting the catch on the beach of Scheveningen im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 169.950,00.
