Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work An exuberant still life with flowers by Hendrik Reekers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 144,000.00 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Reekers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dahlias, nasturtiums, bourbon roses, poppies, astras and buttercups in a copper ewer with plums, grapes and peaches on a marble ledge, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 234,750.00 (€ 401,882.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An exuberant still life with flowers von Hendrik Reekers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 144.000,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Reekers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dahlias, nasturtiums, bourbon roses, poppies, astras and buttercups in a copper ewer with plums, grapes and peaches on a marble ledge beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 234.750,00 (€ 401.882,50) versteigert wurde.
