Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK, which included the work A still life with flowers, tropical fruit and a partridge by Hendrik Reekers. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 22,325.00 (€ 9,768.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Reekers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dahlias, nasturtiums, bourbon roses, poppies, astras and buttercups in a copper ewer with plums, grapes and peaches on a marble ledge in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 234,750.00 (€ 401,882.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with flowers, tropical fruit and a partridge von Hendrik Reekers zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 22.325,00 (€ 9.768,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Reekers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dahlias, nasturtiums, bourbon roses, poppies, astras and buttercups in a copper ewer with plums, grapes and peaches on a marble ledge im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 234.750,00 (€ 401.882,50).
