Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 110,150.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 22 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Reekers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dahlias, nasturtiums, bourbon roses, poppies, astras and buttercups in a copper ewer with plums, grapes and peaches on a marble ledge, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 234,750.00 (€ 401,882.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A still life with dahlias, hollyhocks and other flowers in a glass vase and fruit on a gilt tazza von Hendrik Reekers wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion NINETEENTH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 110.150,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 22 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Reekers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dahlias, nasturtiums, bourbon roses, poppies, astras and buttercups in a copper ewer with plums, grapes and peaches on a marble ledge beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 234.750,00 (€ 401.882,50) versteigert wurde.
