Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The four seasons by Hendrik Meijer was sold in the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction at Christies in London in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,862.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Meijer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded river landscape with peasants resting by a cottage, which sold at auction in October 2004 for GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,339.37).

Die Arbeit The four seasons von Hendrik Meijer wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.862,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
