In the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work Harvesters resting beneath a tree in a farmyard sold for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,233.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hendrik Meijer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A wooded river landscape with peasants resting by a cottage sold at auction in October 2004 with the realized price of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,339.37).
