Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Extensive Landscape With Peasants Resting Before A Tavern, Others Harvesting In The Distance, And A Church On A Hill Behind by Hendrik Meijer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,283.43). Other works by Hendrik Meijer have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2004 by the work A wooded river landscape with peasants resting by a cottage at GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,339.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Extensive Landscape With Peasants Resting Before A Tavern, Others Harvesting In The Distance, And A Church On A Hill Behind von Hendrik Meijer im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.283,43) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Meijer wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2004 die Arbeit A wooded river landscape with peasants resting by a cottage mit GBP 11.352,50 (€ 16.339,37).
