Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt, which included the work View Of A Waterfall, A Village Beyond, Said To Be Martigny, Switzerland by Henri Knip. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,303.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Knip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond in May this year with an auction result of USD 22,680.00 (€ 21,287.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of A Waterfall, A Village Beyond, Said To Be Martigny, Switzerland von Henri Knip zur Versteigerung kam.
