Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Dutch The Ruins Of Habsburg Castle Near Kussnacht, Luzern; A River Landscape With Bern In The Distance (A Pair) by Henri Knip. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henri Knip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond in May this year with an auction result of USD 22,680.00 (€ 21,287.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2009 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch The Ruins Of Habsburg Castle Near Kussnacht, Luzern; A River Landscape With Bern In The Distance (A Pair) von Henri Knip zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henri Knip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of Lake Geneva, with figures at a vineyard in the foreground, the Château de Chillon beyond im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 21.287,78).
