This artwork by Hendrick Goltzius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June this year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work The Farnese Hercules sold for GBP 19,200.00 (€ 22,345.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Goltzius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jupiter And Antiope in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 4,904,470.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendrick Goltzius erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit The Farnese Hercules für GBP 19.200,00 (€ 22.345,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Goltzius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jupiter And Antiope im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.802.500,00 (€ 4.904.470,08).
