The price achieved of USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,249.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Goltzius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jupiter And Antiope in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 6,802,500.00 (€ 4,904,470.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Apollo Belvedere von Hendrick Goltzius kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.249,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrick Goltzius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jupiter And Antiope im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.802.500,00 (€ 4.904.470,08).
