This work without title by Hemendranath Mazumdar was auctioned at Christies in Mumbai in December 2016. It achieved a price of INR 10,525,000.00 (€ 146,623.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hemendranath Mazumdar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Abhiman (Wounded Vanity), which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 413,750.00 (€ 467,608.01).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hemendranath Mazumdar kam im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in Mumbai zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von INR 10.525.000,00 (€ 146.623,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hemendranath Mazumdar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Abhiman (Wounded Vanity) beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 413.750,00 (€ 467.608,01) versteigert wurde.
