The work Basics on Composition III Formen und Grund (Hirohito) by Helmut Federle was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in October 2016. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 30,635.83), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helmut Federle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work September 30, 1955, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 88,900.00.

Die Arbeit Basics on Composition III Formen und Grund (Hirohito) von Helmut Federle wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 30.635,83) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Helmut Federle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit September 30, 1955 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 88.900,00 versteigert wurde.
