Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hector Poleo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2008. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Composition sold for USD 28,000.00 (€ 17,994.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hector Poleo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maternidad in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 137,900.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hector Poleo erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Composition für USD 28.000,00 (€ 17.994,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hector Poleo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maternidad im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 137.900,36).
