Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman with a Towel by Hashiguchi Goyo was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,400.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hashiguchi Goyo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 40,075.00 (€ 34,199.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woman with a Towel von Hashiguchi Goyo kam im September 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.400,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hashiguchi Goyo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.075,00 (€ 34.199,52).
