The work Taisho era (1912-1926), 1920 by Hashiguchi Goyo was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,470.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Hashiguchi Goyo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 40,075.00 (€ 34,199.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Taisho era (1912-1926), 1920 von Hashiguchi Goyo kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 7.470,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hashiguchi Goyo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.075,00 (€ 34.199,52).
