A top price for Hashiguchi Goyo
This artwork by Hashiguchi Goyo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in September 2020. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 sold for USD 40,075.00 (€ 34,199.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. This high result makes Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 the most expensive artwork by Hashiguchi Goyo that we have observed at auctions so far.
