The work Nagajuban (Underrobe) by Hashiguchi Goyo was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2019. It achieved a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,019.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hashiguchi Goyo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915, which sold at auction in September 2020 for USD 40,075.00 (€ 34,199.52).

Die Arbeit Nagajuban (Underrobe) von Hashiguchi Goyo kam im März 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.019,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Für andere Arbeiten von Hashiguchi Goyo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Taisho era (1912-1926), 1915 beobachtet, die im September 2020 für USD 40.075,00 (€ 34.199,52) versteigert wurde.
