In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work A Collection of thirteen engravings by Hans Sebald Beham. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,977.05), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Sebald Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 71,291.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Collection of thirteen engravings von Hans Sebald Beham zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.977,05) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Sebald Beham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 71.291,08).
