Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Red Gums Of The Flinders by Hans Heysen was sold in the The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. The price achieved of AUD 12,000.00 (€ 6,790.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Heysen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning Mist in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 124,374.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Red Gums Of The Flinders von Hans Heysen wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion The Ken and Rona Eastaugh Collection bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 12.000,00 (€ 6.790,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Heysen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning Mist im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 124.374,35).
