Auction result well in line with expectations

In October 2018 Phillips in London held the auction Lucie Rie and Hans Coper: Potter and Artist, which included the work Small-waisted form by Hans Coper. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,638.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Coper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cycladic arrow form in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 156,250.00 (€ 176,201.80).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Lucie Rie and Hans Coper: Potter and Artist durch, in der auch die Arbeit Small-waisted form von Hans Coper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.638,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Coper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cycladic arrow form im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 156.250,00 (€ 176.201,80).
