Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selfportrait by Hans Berger was sold in the The Swiss Fine Art Sale auction at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 10,080.00 (€ 9,737.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hans Berger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selbstbildnis mit Ofen. 1909. in July 2020 with an auction result of CHF 100,340.00 (€ 93,513.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selfportrait von Hans Berger wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Swiss Fine Art Sale bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 10.080,00 (€ 9.737,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Berger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selbstbildnis mit Ofen. 1909. im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 100.340,00 (€ 93.513,74).
