Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled, May 1997 by Hannah Starkey. The price achieved of GBP 4,250.00 (€ 4,961.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hannah Starkey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,357.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, May 1997 von Hannah Starkey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.250,00 (€ 4.961,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hannah Starkey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.357,41) versteigert wurde.
