Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mermaid & Surfer by Hajime Sorayama was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 750.00 (€ 687.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hajime Sorayama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sexy Robot, Life Size Seating Model B in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 651,307.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mermaid & Surfer von Hajime Sorayama kam im September 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 750,00 (€ 687,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hajime Sorayama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sexy Robot, Life Size Seating Model B im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 651.307,65).
