Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gwyther Irwin could be acquired at Christies in June 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Wave Rave changed hands for EUR 7,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gwyther Irwin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work West Of Thornton in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,726.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gwyther Irwin konnte im Juni 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Wave Rave für EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gwyther Irwin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit West Of Thornton im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.726,53).
