Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gun No: Iii by Gwyther Irwin was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,381.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gwyther Irwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work West Of Thornton in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,726.53).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.381,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gwyther Irwin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit West Of Thornton im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.726,53).
