Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Guy Boyd was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of AUD 3,690.00 (€ 3,067.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guy Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lovers Turning into a Tree in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 23,500.00 (€ 14,086.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Guy Boyd kam im April 2021 bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 3.690,00 (€ 3.067,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lovers Turning into a Tree im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 23.500,00 (€ 14.086,10).
