Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl Undressing by Guy Boyd was sold in the AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. It changed hands for a price of AUD 4,465.00 (€ 2,592.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Guy Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lovers Turning into a Tree in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 23,500.00 (€ 14,086.10).

Die Arbeit Girl Undressing von Guy Boyd wurde im August 2001 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 4.465,00 (€ 2.592,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 3.500,00 – 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lovers Turning into a Tree im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 23.500,00 (€ 14.086,10).
