Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Plaque by Guy Boyd was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in August 2002. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 4,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 4,935.00 (€ 2,765.43). Admittedly, works by Guy Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lovers Turning into a Tree in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 23,500.00 (€ 14,086.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Plaque von Guy Boyd kam im August 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 4.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 4.935,00 (€ 2.765,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lovers Turning into a Tree im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 23.500,00 (€ 14.086,10).
