In August this year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Dancer by Guy Boyd. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 12,915.00 (€ 7,706.82), 29% above the upper estimate. Other works by Guy Boyd have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of AUD 23,500.00 (€ 14,086.10) in May 2001 for the work Lovers Turning into a Tree.

Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dancer von Guy Boyd zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 12.915,00 (€ 7.706,82) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Guy Boyd haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von AUD 23.500,00 (€ 14.086,10) im Mai 2001 für die Arbeit Lovers Turning into a Tree beobachtet.
