Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Niños Mexicanos and Untitled 2 by Gustavo Montoya was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 1,147.50 (€ 977.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustavo Montoya achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gustavo Montoya (1905-2003) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,489.29).
