The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,831.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gustavo Montoya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gustavo Montoya (1905-2003) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,489.29).
