Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Niño con rehilete by Gustavo Montoya was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,225.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustavo Montoya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gustavo Montoya (1905-2003), which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 37,489.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Niño con rehilete von Gustavo Montoya kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.225,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
