Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Guo Shangxian was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,456.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Guo Shangxian have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work Poem In Running Script was auctioned for HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Guo Shangxian wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.456,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2017 die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62) versteigert.
